Leaving Societal Norms Behind

Unicorn Hunters

Unicorn Hunters

Hollow eyes

They look at me with hollow eyes

I am invisible

I do not exist

I am nothing but a list of expectations

That roll robotically off their tongues

My mind has no dimensions

A blank slate to be filled by their intentions

How do I say no

A contract pressed against my face

Their two to my one

My emotions have come undone

But I know I’ll never win

Cannot fit into their distorted box

Don’t want to be thrown away

I better run before it’s too late

Hollow eyes

Their hollow eyes follow me

Labeled viciously

For my individuality
